According to the American Diabetes Association (the leading organization to take the lead against the fight for diabetes and its symptoms) the prudent diabetic foods are the Pritikin diet, G.I. diet, low carb Diet, high fiber diet, paleolithic diet and vegan diet. This diabetic diet has been proven to be few of the most effective diabetic diet. Let us scrutinize each one of them.

G.I. Diet / Glycemic Index Diet

Lowering the G.I. or the glycemic index could lead to the effective control of diabetes. With this type of diet, potatoes, white bread and many other foods that are slowly converted in the bloodstream should not be included.

Pritikin Diet

For people with diabetes, a fruity diet is for you! It will give a lot of fiber source accompanied with different colored – vegetables. With the moderation of exercise, it will surely boost the regularization of your blood sugar level.
Vegan Diet – This diet will help lower the glycemic Index (G.I.) of foods.

High Fiber Diet

There are studies that this type of diet is the most effective among all diabetic diet plans. It can control blood glucose level with same efficiency as oral diabetis drugs. With the right amount of high – fiber diet, you can gradually overcome your unusual blood sugar level.

Paleolithic Diet

This type of diet is more helpful to people with type 2 diabetes. It focuses on how to moderate the stage of a person’s obesity with the manipulation of different food guides. It will surely develop the glucose tolerance of a diabetic person. Paleolithic diet consists mostly of vegetables, roots, fish, and nuts, and excludes grains, meat, legumes, dairy products, salt, fruit, refined sugar, and processed oils.

Low Carb Diet

According to the American Diet Association, saturated fat raises blood cholesterol and it could lead to a heart disease. That is the reason why most people with diabetes also acquire heart diseases. It has been suggested that the plodding removal of carbohydrates from the diabetic diet and hence replaced it with different sources such as eggs, avocados, olives and different types of vegetables that takes a higher chance of reversing the disease. Note: It is very important that any diet acquired is low in saturated fat.

    I’m starting my diet tomorrow. Imma go on this diet and do Insanity workout for 60 days just to see how much weight i’ll lose. Im 16 and fluffy( im chubby; Southern girls are raised not to waste food:P). Anways…I hope i’ll have good results like everyone on here. I’ve tried every kind of diet just about and most doesn’t work. Wish me luck. I’ll post how much ive lost later on:)
